Sooooo after the debacle at The Point Cafe in Killcare¬†we decided to head to beautiful Hardy’s Bay to grab a quick bite! L’Anxaneta Cafe to the rescue!

Hardy’s Bay on the NSW Central Coast is a beautiful little cove surrounded by bush covered hills, one road in, beautiful cottages, and boats bobbing on the water. It’s a gorgeous location for lunch, relaxed and low-key.

You can catch a ferry to Hardy’s Bay from Woy Woy and Palm Beach. Believe me, boat rides in this neck of the wood are a wonderful experience. Check the timetables at Central Coast Ferries.

L’Anxaneta Cafe is set up in an old corner store – so charming – there were plenty of outdoor seats so we took one and settled in to order.

Our orders were beer-battered flathead, grilled salmon, and a smoked ham Turkish melt. The staff at L’Anxaneta are courteous and efficient. We had our Toby’s Estate coffee and food in no time and it was all great cafe fare.

We enjoyed our visit to L’Anxaneta – who couldn’t enjoy gazing at this view?

I’d love to hear if you’ve visited L’Anxaneta Cafe recently and how did you find it? I notice their dinner menu has more of a Spanish flavour – what a lovely way to spend a summer’s evening outdoors.
